I'm getting ready to start assembling my new system and I think I should have purchased different RAM.

    I'm running:

    GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R
    Intel e6850
    G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 PC6400
    Windows XP Pro

    Should I have choosen PC8500 DDR2 1066 RAM instead?

    Maybe I should have gotten 2 x 1GB instead of 2 x 2GB?

    Thanks in advance!

The RAM speed is OK, can get you to 3.6GHz, if the CPU can take it. However, if you have XP Pro, it will not see all 4GB of the RAM (unless it's 64bit). I think it will recognise only 3GB.
