Modding Need paint job ideas...........!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok well i wanna paint my raidmax scorpio



ok i dunno wether to do just the bezel or the whole case, the sides and top are nice and mirrory, but the bezel is crap, so i dunno whether to do the whole case or not

i wanna do something cool, after watching people paint on american chopper and pimp my ride, i wanna do something like them, i wanna mask off stuff with masking tape and crap you know?

would painters tape remove paint? if i stick it on paint thats been dry for like 3 days for example, would it pull off the paint?

so ya what are some cool ideas for paint jobs

 

painters paint and masking tape both remove paint!!! but if u do it right it will not harm the paint, put ur finger infront of the tape and pull it off, dont just rip it off fast! if u do it will ruin it. Also why not do an ice mod, make the case look like ice with paint.

 

how would i do that?

 

use ur imagination, thats how you get ideas. but dont do one of those gay flower paint jobs, that ice idea would be pimp if you can pull it off

 

Use this guide for painting flames as a guide to do your own thing. Nice tut on paining with masking stuff off and a little pinstriping.

also bandwith stealing is frouned upon

put ur hand over the tape as u pull
like so

remeber to not put the tape on the paint until 24 hrs later when the paint is dry no longer stick and what not or else it will ruin the paint and def will rip it, also when u pull pull as slow as possible and on and angle away from the paint it should all work out good.

 

i meant how to do the ice

 

ah white and blue paint mix it up with short bursts, make it look like frosting, also if u have a window u can frost some of that and add a few blue leds

and if u wanna use the tape draw an iceberg on the side and use the tape with that

 

hmm what else besides ice would look cool

 

hmm what else is there? im thinkin either mirror finish unless i can think of somethin better

and what can i etch on the plexi?

 

ok well this is what i did besides fixing the fan grills on it




still gotta sand it, and add some more bondo in some places

so ya what should i paint it? i was thinking, like a mirror finish yellow with some black on the top part and some other places

or should i go black mirror finish? im doing the inside metalic blue i guess, should i go with green or blue lighting?

cuz my lcd ill use is green but the hdd light will probly be blue cuz i dont have a nice green led
