Well moneys no object (within reason) the machine will be used to do almost everything from web design to gaming, its to replace the machine in my sig and give me some desk space back, ive been looking at the digidice from abit but md does'nt do it which is a shame

EDIT: I've always been an Intel fanboy but I am considering change :)

There is another A64 shuttle, the SK83G on the 'VIA K8M800' chipset. Shuttle have released their new intel shuttles. Visit their website and check em out. :thumb:

The A64s have cool n quiet so you should be ok.

All shuttles are little ovens though, you cant get away from that.

Is this digiice thing something that takes up the only 5.25" bay? Surely you want a CD/DVD drive in it instead?

don't get the retail cpu, you don't need to hsf (as the shuttle has its own cooler) so get the OEM one which is a fair bit cheaper. Also the shuttle doesn't support dual channel ram so there is no need for that either :)

ERK! Not a socket 940!! You need a Socket 754 processor for the SN85G4. Saying that, there isn't a 3000 64 for 940 i dont think, so its probally an error.
