    Hello all

While not strictly a PC I thought this would be the best place to find out some information on my Thompson dti6300-16.

I'm trying to find a way of slowing down the fan but I can't find the right connectors. It has a a 3 pin connector roughly 6mm wide.

Can anyone tell me where i could find the right adaptor to fit a standard sized 3 pin connector for case fans etc. to use with a speed controller.

    Much appreciated

Cut the red wire, and add in a resistor... iirc a 10Ohm 5watt resistor will work.

    or

    Get a Zalman FanMate

    Hi

I've looked at the Zalman and the connectors are a different size, would you say the easiest way is to just cut the wires and solder together.

    Cheers

I would indeed agree with you there.

But I'd go for the resistor route myself, the FanMate is about 6$ where a resistor will likely be <10cents.

another option is MNPCtech's Fan Silencers

Does that fan silencer have the smaller 3-pin socket (around 6mm wide). ie smaller than a standard atx case fan plug.?

    Thanks

Don't know, what you see is all i know... you can always just use the resistor and toss out the connectors.
