For one of my ICAs at Uni, I am animating some particle systems - fountains - in time to music but I need a really nice, preferrably ~3 minute piece, with lots of bits and pieces that'd go well with what I'm doing.

I really haven't got any ideas, as I don't know much about classical - but saying that, it doesn't have to be by a traditional classical composer.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

    Vivaldi's Four Seasons
    Concerto 2 (summer) L'estate
Get the third movement (presto) which is the end of summer and lasts about 3 mins.
    Pretty emotive.
Its about the wind destroying the crops after a thunder storm.

If you want to get a bit contemporary you could go for something a bit different and use something like Amen Orchestra. Extremely complex breakcore set to huge orchestral samples. I could see it working really well with particle fountains and the like.
