i have 33mb left on my hd and i aint gonna delete or defragment, etc... cos i need it all. Basically i need a hd that has 40GB or more UIDE or better since UIDE is the best apart from scsi RIGHT? AND WELL PLEASE REPLY THANKS
You mean udma ide, most ppl now agree to stay away from ibm and get either a western digital or maxtor. Also depends on your mobo if it can do udma 33/66/100/133 but if you get a udma133 hard drive it will run on udma 33/66/100 but slower than a 133. If you want speed get a 7,200 rpm model over a 5,400 rpm model. Try dabs.com i've never had problems with them or try your local computer fair.
seagates are very well known for reliability, and speed....the wd special editions are known for getting speeds of up to scsi drive specs.... either one will do you well....if you had extra money scsi would be better as its a lot faster....
get the western digtal special edition drive as it is faster than some scsi drives and you can get it from www.komplett.co.uk
