Networks Need to disable internet explorer drop down address bar

Need to know a tip how to disable the internet explorer address bar from displaying URLS typed in

turned off autocomplete, but it stores urls and i dont want IE to make a drop down list of sites typed in.

i had the setting before so it wouldnt do that, but lost it

 

Doesn't setting the "Days to keep pages in history" to 0 disable the storing of URLs in the address bar?

 

I love these threads...so much fun....don't know I'm afraid, but, if someones not got the answer by the time I get back with my popcorn, I'll have a rummage around and look for it.

I assure u that i had the setting on my IE before. I had 2 days in the history, and the address bar would never drop down

 

There's a reg hack for Noaddressbar but that might be too heavy.....
