    Title says it all :hehe:
My ATI Radeon 7000 VE has died, and I need something to replace it. Must be AGP and must be under 100 squidwards (Sorry, pound key is broken).
My spec is in sig, but I will probably be upgrading to a gig of ram in near future.

    Many thanks in advance :D

something like a 7600 GS or mabey look for a 6800 GT or a 9800 Pro of Fleabay.

or buy the cheapest card possible and save the rest for a CPU / Mobo / RAM upgrade.

You can grab an X800Pro on eBay for <£100, that's a perfect upgrade, as it'll max out an Athlon XP system like yours (no offence), without too much bother. Great buy. :thumb:

:worried: That's roughly XP2200+ so anything more than a 9700/9800/6600 would be pretty wasteful really. If you could get a little more cash together you could get a cheap A64, mobo and gfx card for little more than £130. A bottom-end A64 is often faster than the top-end AthlonXP, and very o/c'able.

Agree with everyone else here... anything above a 9800 pro would probably be an overkill for your current system.. however i would reccomend either putting the money towards upgrading to a newer platform, new ram, new CPU OR getting something nice but still cheap like 7600gs or X800 which would be great if you did upgrade your rig later.

A 6800 GT or 7600 GS would be a good choice or u can opt for refurbished ones, they come value for money & if u r lucky enough u might get 7800 or 7900 GS!!!
    Up to u!!!

E6300 and an ECS pci express mobo is under 200 us. I would suggest saving for a whole new rig instead of agp :naughty:

Proof that people aren't reading your replies there mate lol

Yeah thats a very good plan indeed, save yourself some cash and then get yourself a new motherboard, cpu ram and graphics card. Wish I'd done that instead of buying bits every whip and flip would have a much better PC if I'd done that instead.
