need very quick help

    i kno ints int e wrong forum but i need some really quick help

    im helping at a charity settign up there systems BUT they have lost the administrator password on the windows 2000 machine, i remember reading someware about a linux boot disc that would boot up & spit out the password, anyone kno where that is?


    or


    would it be easier to format the pc & re-install 2000 (never installed 2k before so im nto sure hwo it goes, wipe the drive with format on a 98 disc & then jsut whack the cd in right

    If you re install Win2k you do everything from the Win2k CD. No boot disk or Win98 CD needed. The setup screen lets you choose a partition and format it if needed before beginning installation. Pretty straightforward.
