For a start, what? thats some broken english right there.

And you got a job in what sounds like a pretty decent IT position, and you know F**k all about it so you have to come here?

I mean, what you need to do is supposed to be basic knowledge for the position your in!
Your not gonna last very long in that job when they realise your not even remotely qualified for the position tbh.

The first person to give this guy a hint is promoting idiocy in the IT industry

Took a look at some of his previous posts and I'm guessing this one wasn't written by him, in his other posts he seems to at least know what the English written language is.

EDIT: Nevermind after the comment below I retract my statement.

A lot of graduate schemes take on students from non-IT degrees, and train them on the job, so maybe he could of been asking for help in an effort to learn and understand the task?

I really don't think you had to be so rude, when he initially was just asking for help..

Thank You Tibby, but I guess everyone out there is a IT Guru, so I guess when someone who is try to learn new stuff get slamed in the face, it just means that I shouldn't have asked the question in here where everyone in here Masters Degrees.

I aplogized just in case feeling were hurt!

My feelings weren't hurt. My last job, I was asked to go in and set up the position. I had no idea what I was doing. they gave me two days training to set me in the right direction. Then 6 months later they asked me to write my own job description so that they knew what I was doing. I loved that job...

I enjoy my new Gig too. I am a person who enjoys playing with computer, so getting a job that allows me to play with computers all day, why not. But I don't consider myself the Guru of IT. I believe that you can never learn everything about the Tech World.

It's not that no-one here is willing to help, in case you havent noticed the Bit-Tech community is generally very helpful.
It's that no-one is willing to help a person who is in a well paid, respectable IT job that realisticly they don't deserve.

What you requested is a simple task, a task that you should of known before you ever got the job, everyone who has read this thread knows what you need to do, but no-one has helped, why?
Because you should already know this!

You have taken a job you are not qualified for and thats what has annoyed me and possibly others, it's hard enough for us that are qualified to find a decent job, yet somebody who doesnt even know how to test the integrity of a system has.
The fact of the matter is, you are in a job you clearly shouldnt have, and that your not qualified for, that is why your not getting help.
In all honestly, you should inform your employer that you don't know what your doing and you should of informed him at the beginning that you are unqualified. Hell they might understand and help you out :/

And Tibby, if that was the case, they would of taught him how to do what he has been requested of already wouldnt they?

But I hope that me and u don't get into each other. It would be nice of you if you don't comment on any of my future posts.

    Thank You!

The above sounds like code for "you hit the nail on the head, so please don't post anymore or I'll get more owned than I already am".

Honestly mate, you start thread asking us to do your job for you? What did you think would happen?
