Modding need your help guys

i was looking some time ago a thread and a guy showed a super bright red led he had just one led and was enough to light the hole case but i can remember the thread or the kind of led he used i just can remember it was red super bright and he needed to put some mosfest to cold the leds any idea what kind of led it can be?

 

Sounds like he used a luxeon led, hope that helped

Technically, luxeons (without the lens) are not the brightest LEDs, but they are the LEDs with the most light output.

They put out their light over about a 140 degree angle while smaller 5mm super bright LEDs can have the light concentrated into a 10 degree beam, making the smaller LED much brighter in it's restricted beam, while the luxeon can illuminate a much larger area.
