I'm looking for a bunch of songs to use in testing subwoofers, and enjoying my own. I'll listen to anything, so dont be afraid to post something thats really off the wall.

I'm not asking for downloads btw, just names.

    Thanks

    A little list from SVS.

    http://www.badnews.co.jp/main/en/public/cgi-bin/artist_main.cgi?id=bass#disco

I can't say much about the album, however I do know the song 'I Love Big Speakers' by Bass Boy is a very good song for rattling concrete.

A lot of Aphex Twin stuff has some nice bass tones to it, as well check out classical/orchestral and jazz, as they often have lovely bass pieces, as well as every other range, and will really make your system shine if it's up to the task.

There are also tons of subwoofer excursion tests floating around the net, and you could probably pick up such a CD at a decent audio store.

    Hope that helps, good luck.

Everything But The Girl - Before Today (Chicane Remix)

Not HardcoreHelterSkelterCominOnStrongPrettyGreenEyesOMG bassy (thankfully), but the bass dives are unmissable on a good audio system.

Gigi d'Agostino - You Spin Me Round
    Gigi d'Agostino - Silence
Gigi d'Agostino - Ill fly with you (L' Amour Toujours)
Gigi d'Agostino -Ill fly with you (Club Mix)
Darude vs Gigi d'Agostino - I'll Fly With Sandstorm
    - Blade Techno opener vs Sandstorm vs Blow your mind (just search around for Blade techno, you'll find it. But don't DL it from kazaa :worried: )
Or the original Blade techno them, that is an absolutely awesome bassline.
    ATB - 9 PM (Till I come)
DJ Kosmonova - Take Me Away (Club Mix)
DJ Tiesto - Forbidden Paradise (Deep Trance Mix)
    DJ Tiesto - Techno Cocaine
    DJ Tiesto - Walhalla
Most songs by Paul Van Dyk are good also.
Or for just blatant excuses to use your subwoofer check out Dr. Crankenstein.

You may want to check out the album Hard NRG:Anthems every song on there is great.

On the other hand if you want high end with a moderate amount of bass,
DJ Tiesto - Ice Rain <the voiceprint of this thing is scary looking.>

    Cypress Hill - Dr Greenthumb

One of the first three tracks off Chemical Brothers' Surrender. I forget which one it is, but it nails it down through the bass range, and your mid/bass cones go mental. :D

I just did a FTT Analysis of "Under The Influence" and Surrender.

Under the Influence's sweep is from 130hz to 50hz making it more of a mid/upper bass sweep.

Surrenders bass punch is 50 hz for one part and 40 hz for the other.

So it is not that low bass.

Still it sounds good on most Hifi equipment.

I forgot to mention this earlier, Stomper I use it to make different sweeps and stuff. I also made one that went from 18k-24k to mess with my dog. :hehe: He hated it. The sweeps aren't that hard to make at all.

The only one in my favorites that really has bass is "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes. AWSOME song too.
