Long time no post , I just got a Chief Tec Dragon case (no clear side ) and I want to make it look good , and I only have a a week or two before a lan im attending at psu hazleton , I need help because im haveing a brain fart... haha , anyway , the case is more of a dark grey than black , and i was thinking about painting some orange on it , like in the center part. I want to do something to this case that will make it look great, I'm willing to spend a few bucks to do it, so let me know if you guys have any ideas or maby a mod you've seen before. Thanks
I got a project starting VERY SOON, called Project Tank. This will be on my cheiftec. Just a few features to look out for. PS2 inside. Second psu (powering fans etc) Lots of switchs Theres an extension being put on the top, where the second psu will be housed. Anyone know if i can somehow put a PS1 screen to work with a PS2 ? (sorry to hi jack your thread mate) I also have been considering putting my old 200mhz system in there aswell just to use for playing music etc. In the door where the line is round it, will be some el wire and a few red l.e.d's behind that to add some weird contrast. All fans will be ducted to give direct cooling. The psu every hole is getting filled, and a in and out hole where the fans are will have direct in and out so no hot air is put into the case. The reason for this being called Project tank, is not because of its weight, but because its going to be a electrical HOUSE!! going to have everything you will need. Big mod, going to take a good few months, ALOT of carefull drawings, and a fair few loans from the bank. And thats even before ive started the proper lighting and paint work. Over and ermm.. IN? Large side panels, stelthed drives, rounded cables, change the leds in the front, maybe remove the top, top window, side fans... Remeber that a few good mods are better than a bunch of crappy ones... I am assuming you do not want to paint the case now so there are many mods that you can do like the ones above...
I painted my last case , twas bumble bee mod , from the pretzel mod, i was thinking about painting it black and orange , or for now maby just some orange. So if you have a good paint idea, let me know.
Cut out the back two fan slots to a match two 120mm fans, and do this also with the front intake portal. Cut out a large square in the back so you can fit two PSUs. Replace the feet with something else, acrylic with some kind of LED color. After painting it, put clear coat on it so it will be shiny. Put a window in the front bezel cover so you will be able to gaze at your the front instruments without having to open the door. Make a filter to go under the front bezel that can be pulled out to clean. (Look at the bottom of your case near the front bezel and you will see what I mean) Gold plate the mobo's I/O connectors Draw UV circuit patterns on the mobo board itself and light with UV cathodes.
Yes, the mobile PS1 screen works with PS2. All it has is the Red/White/Yellow input jacks that you just hook up to PS2. And I also have a black chieftec full tower. I'm planning on giving it tons of windows. Big square window on both sides, windows on top and bottom, and windows on the front where it has those grills and on the door. edit: oh, and they will all be tinted so you can only see through with lights on
