Anyone know where i can get some of this stuff for cheaper? locally (car parts store or sumthin) or a site on the net..... cause im not payin $50 (inc. shipping) for some neon tubing... thoughts, ideas, suggestions, ect......????

Well, .....here's the deal as far as I know....they (specifically Tweakmonster) have come out with a Revision 2 of those lightstrips. Has a quieter inverter (too many people complained about the whine). While the Rev 2 kit may be quieter now, the strip is only 30"--but the kit is half the original cost--20 bucks. The original kit with the 5' strip also had extra clips to re-wire sections (can cut them in sections if needed); the new kit doesn't. Sent an email to Tweakmonster and they assured me the extra clips (and extra strip lengths if needed/wanted) are in the works and will be available soon.

you can get Neon String, Glo-Wire....at auto parts stores or walmart, kmart... usually in packs 4-6ft, for $20-$30 just have to look around and compare.

Wow, sounds like a good deal, where'd you see them at that price?

Edit: Opps, I missed the word Target. I got some there before for $17 but they were only 6ft long.

I think that's the point of the regular automotive glowires/lighted pinstriping...the inverter puts off a whine. If used in a car, you wouldn't notice it over the engine noise. That's the reason I believe Tweakmonster changed out their original kit for Revision 2--the high-pitched whine was irritating.
