Nope, sadly, there isnt. I am making an animated GIF though that will show the game's progress as it unfolds though, with screenshots taken roughly every 12 hours. If i can be arsed to update it often enough, i believe it could even be better then a public map I'll have the map of the first 48 hours ready in just a few hours. Cheers.
What happens when you trade tech? If I gave someone one of my tech would I lose it or would the other player +1 and I'd keep my tech?
You don't lose the tech, you keep the same level of tech you had but they get plus one. The trade off being you get +1 in return.
I find it amusing how everybody wants my range tech, which takes twice as long to research as the other tech everyone wants to trade it for.
That kind of attitude will get you far . And by far I mean killed quickly. EDIT: I thought I'd qualify that statement. So you've got Range tech, nice. A few other people have it too and they're willing to trade, seemingly you're not. By tomorrow (probably by the end of tonight) the trading round will be nigh on finished until the next round of upgrades, everyone will match you in range tech and be superior in all other techs because they're trading, leaving you with nothing to trade. People will advance, trade again and you'll be behind again unable to catch up because others are more tech advanced and you have nothing to trade. So, unless you're lucky enough to find someone who'll just donate tech the only person losing from you not trading is you. Oh and no thanks, I've already found a new trading partner .
Yeah that messed me up big time in the last game, it wasn't so much i wasn't willing to trade i was just too slow to arrange my trades
Me and Bufo managed to keep ahead of you all in tech simply by good trading. We even went as far as conning someone out of Range Tech by faking a war.
Please, tell us more of your tactics while i make notes for the invitational game listen in adoration. Also, here's the new and update GIF with the game's progress!
Victory looks imminent so I'll release my log with a few finishing notes sometime next week (I'm away this weekend unfortunately).
nobody asked me for my range tech...... lol well, 1 asked. true, trading is truly the base of the game. make good friends to trade. if u start with an expensive tech (like Range) then be prepared to trade with lower tech coz evrybody else probably starts of with something cheaper (like Weapons). its a little bit your loss coz its ur decision to research sth expensive right off the bat, but then again if ur willing to trade that expensive tech for cheap u'll make good allies. if ur expecting to trade a range tech with sth else just expensive, then u gotta make sure ur the only one with that tech to monopolized, else u'll get undercut. man, its all economy 101 me, i start with range coz most of my freakin stars are so freakin far away.... n id rather occupy far empty stars then to go to war too early
http://np.ironhelmet.com/gamestats?game=11356787 Total Ships: pretty flat with a couple exceptions. peaceful game so far, eh? or just evrythin quietly building their army of destruction? edit: 11PM EST... wow, just took a big dip there
quick question: if, say, im workin on a tech, half-way, 500 out of 1000... for say, Tech I.... next level, Tech II requires 2000 (starts from 0 again). what is at that point i receive a tech gift, Tech I.... would i immediately jump to 500 out of 2000 for Tech II? or its simply gonna burn out the 500 points and just reset immediately to 0 out of 2000?
