Hello, as you'll know, most netbooks are limited to a VGA out of 1400x1050 or even 1366x768. (then again they don't have the performance to do much more anyway) I have an Asus 1001P, which is limited to 1,366 x 768. I'd like to watch movies on a small external monitor, which is "HD-Ready" so 1280×720. This size is however not offered in the list of resolutions for the external monitor. Does anyone know a way to "force" this resolution? Xir
think they use an intel based graphics chip, but not too sure if intel gives the option to use a user defined resolution.
well, no. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked. I 'd like to output the correct screen resolution because the screen is really-really bad at resizing
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/img/cui2_rotation.jpg do you not have this option in the intel display options maybe the aspect ratio is set incorrectly and make sure your not cloning your desktop.
I have an Asus 1000H which has Intel graphics and have no problem running 1920x1200, I run linux though That said I remember creating a custom driver for mine in windows http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/custom-resolutions-on-intel-graphics/
