See here Good news! Hopefully they won't try and screw us on the cost. Though I do feel sorry for the UKs broadband infrastructure!
during my limited experiences with LoveFilm their video streaming was pretty bad imo, though that could be due to shitty internet... but competition is good... until one buys out the other...
lol lovefilms internet streaming is rubbish at best. 1. takes friggin ages to sign up and get verified. 2. quality is meh 3. choice of films is very poor often limited to top titles from 3 or 4 years ago or rubbish films or unheard of ones
Cannot wait. I've been longing for Netflix for goodness knows how long...renting films off Zune videos on the Xbox is simply over-priced and there's just no way I'm gonna start buying films in a digital format until they're DRM free. Blu-Rays + Netflix should be the perfect solution for now.
Their choice is improving quite a lot now but the quality is still terrible. Not sure why it says in the article that they won't be using a postal service, whether it's a licencing issue or something else but if I can't rent blue-rays from them it would probably rule me out of using their service.
Lovefilm is a cracking service and great value - I get 2 discs a month and enjoy the time out. Interesting to see what NF has to offer - competition is a good thing!
Nice, do Netflix do english hard of hearing subs? One of the reasons I never cared for Lovefilm or PS3 store Movies.
They've just re-arranged (read: increased) their fee structure in the US because the DVD postal service was costing so much money so its likely to do with that. As someone lucky enough to have a stable, fast net connection I say bring it on, though I do understand thats not possible for everyone.
Nice, but would rather have something where I could download a high quality movie and keep it forever (legally).
