I have a very specific question regard the awesome piece of kit that is the NETGEAR Nighthawk R7000 router.

I am currently running the newest stock firmware and as far as the device goes, it is worth every penny. It has actually saved me quite a lot of money seeing how it has kept me from having to wire our current house and it also doubles as a NAS albeit a very simple one, simple but very reliable.

I would however find it incredibly useful if it was possible, and I think it is with the DD-WRT firmware, to configure a VPN on the server, solely for my samsung smart-tv so that I would have access to a much wider range of content.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or is it just wishful thinking?
