I was looking for a recorder/player to connect into the cable company's HD DVR. I want to record standard content and save the 20 hour limit (of HD on the DVR)) for when I needed it. If I could record and play back HD then so much the better. I suppose hooking the MM player up to our current network, and then hooking up that network to the DVR would be one way to do this. Would this run right off the cable company's DVR though? or should I invest in a full HTPC? Network Multimedia Player better description I found a great site to explain all of this.
