I have set up a simple home network (3 Pc's) all on the same cards through a hub , with my own pc as server . This all seems to be fine and great . Basically I'm scared to do anything with it (things with me have a habbit of going really wrong , like when I replaced the fan in my PSU it didn't work for more then a day , and I dind't notice . Jesus that was bad .) I want to network play stuff like Red Alert 2 , should what I have be alright for this and need tweeking , or should I strip it all out and go back to the internet ?

The setup u have will be fine, start up a server on a comp and then multiplayer on other comps (when server is dedicated) :D

i dunno what ra2 runs on, but most likely it will be tcp/ip which should already be installed if u can all acess the net through the server or share files (whatever it might be).....:dude:

to plat RA2 u dont need a server or dedicate one , one of the players hosts the game, on a 10/100 network with decent comps it will run very good, and i think it uses ipx/spx not tcp/ip but i would install that also. You cant use Yuris revenge with the same code over a network, ime not sure about original.
