That's right, boys and girls. I am now the proud owner of a 17" MacBook Pro. I ordered an extra 1GB of RAM off of ebay, and I'm gonna leave the 5400rpm drive and just get a firewire 800 drive for when I need to do video editing and the like. Want pictures? That's all you're getting, because that's all I have... I got it on my mother's credit (I don't have much of my own yet), so she's telling me I've gotta wait til Tuesday night to open it (I've got an economics final). Damn her and her practical logical desire for me to do well in my class... I'll give it a full review with decent quality pictures (I just shot this one with my phone quickly) around Wed-Fri...
I would be envious if I wasn't waiting for the darn 13" Macbooks to arrive! I'm slowly and surely am being tempted back to the dark side of windows computing as those new Asus 13" notebooks look so cool and well spec'd.
its just a royal pain in the ass... i would love a macbook pro, but i like smaller notebooks, so im waiting for the ibook replacement.
Tuesday, goes the rumor, for the 13" MacBooks. Enjoy the 17" IC - I'm loving my 15" MBP more than any other laptop I've used. Battery life isn't too shabby for what I generally do - 3.5-4hrs (not the world's greatest I'm sure, but a huge jump from the ~1.5hrs I got from my old laptop), and OSX is making me quite happy. Good luck with the Econ final. I'm praying that mine coming up in June is easy, considering we've done nothing all year...
Bah, i want my acer Core Duo 2.0 ghz. 15" and it has windows. 2 gigs of ram and like 120 gig HD. To each his own.
Who cares really, I'm sure there are hundreds of flickr albums devoted to MacBook Pro unpacking. They're really not that exciting...
