The interface layout is a big improvement. I didn't like the old system. If they let me block that retarded Avatar from dashboard that'll be everything.
Just had a brief look. I have a question about 'the cloud'.... If I put a save game on the cloud that was from a game with DLC, if I play on someone else's console; 1. As I am effectively logging into their console as 'me', will it download the DLC automatically? 2. You can't save the DLC on the cloud (you only get 512Mb), so I assume if the answer above is negative, you are stuffed for DLC gaming on the move? Anyone know?
Reconnected my Xbox for this. What can I say? I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Hopefully it gets better when iPlayer comes out.
Annoyed. Video streaming from PC>XBOX no longer has a "native" resize option so any video you watch gets stretched and distorted. Why remove a useful feature?
I can't tell if we're on an old version, or if everyone else just got the last update we had. Could somebody post their build number? They're apparently releasing apps first to the pre release program for testing though.
lack of feature still, and every feature coming out looks to require Gold account. definitely not spending anymore money. hopefully some features only require Silver. but it looks pretty though. still watch movies through windows media center to my desktop.
Im not likeing all the extra menus they have created due to displaying 5 selections per screen. I got a 46" TV so reducing the amount of information on screen and making huge boxes means I got to sit further away from the TV because its so huge. Some things that I used alot and were only one click away are now hidden and take several clicks to get to them. Will take a while to get used to this and if this is the way windows is going im going to cry. Also if im paying for gold membership, why am I getting adverts? Either im paying for the service or companies advertising are. We shouldnt both be paying.
Subscription and adverts are a given in papers and TV so not really surprising Microsoft want to include them in xbox.
Me too. I looked it up and everyone else got the last build we got before release. We're supposed to be testing new apps, like DailyMotion.
free UFC140 is good. even with silver membership. but need to add a payment method anyway sucks.... downloaded youtube app but won't install? weird.........
I liek the quickplay and optimisation for Kinect... Especially etting to Fruit Ninja Kinect could be a PITA before, when not using a controller... and let's face it... if I know I want to play FNK, I put on the xbox and wave my hand... I don't want to put on a controller...
So i've found a handy page with that show's which 'Partners' are now part of xbox live. www.xbox.com/partners to find out more, but for me, in the UK, the list includes: Sky LOVEFiLM 4oD Demand 5 YouTube MSN Video Daily Motion MUZU.TV Screenrush Crackle VEVO Some of those i don't get yet, so i guess it's a matter of time before release, and i hope they increase that list also. Sam
I can't believe they still list each Rock Band and Dance Nation (or whatever it is called) song as a separate addon - total clutter. Personally I would be happy with a single screen that just said 'PLAY GAME'. It's a shame you can't just get rid of all that media/tv/music stuff.
even Youtube requires ****in Gold account.... unbelievable. screw u xbox. still sticking to Windows Media Center and stream stuff from my desktop.
