Just got a heads-up for this from Warp2search - its a new trailer for the Aliens vs Predator movie that's coming out sometime in the summer.

    It can be viewed HERE

Excited? I've just shat my pants in anticipation :D

Bucketloads of Aliens and Predators, human cannon fodder, high-tech weaponry, extreme warfare, big explosions and heavy metal music.

Sounds like a winner to me....

Who cares about a plot (although it would be an added bonus) as long as it has loads of weapons and special effects it will keep me happy...

    Yes, I'm easily entertained.

It is a word used by numbskulls and morons, but those predators look truly 'badass'.

You know if they got rid of the humans it would be better ;) I can see them being largely poor actors, making poor jokes and generally ruining the whole film.

Or even better, puree for hordes of salivating facehuggers :)

Guys, go read the comic books - it'll give you the basic gist of how humans fit into an Aliens vs Predator storyline.

    MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA :naughty:

    Aliens = F*****g Amazing Film

Even if this film's rubbishly reviewed, hell, even if the film's rubbish, I'm still seeing it!

Amen to that - hell, considering who's behind the movie (Paul WS Anderson), it most likely will be sh*t, but fanboy movies are rarely any good :D

I mean, Resident Evil was pretty bad, but the action made it watchable - I fully expect the same this time round. Event Horizon hasn't aged well, but it's still a damn tense film, so at least AvP should be right on the ball, scares-wise.

Lance Henriksen has a role and he's always damn good to watch.

*edit* just read a few interviews - the story is set a couple of hundred years before 'Alien', and the human team in question is led by a guy called Charles Bishop Weyland (head of Weyland-Yutani),so it explains how the 'company' knew about the existence of the Aliens all along. Pretty good thinking there, sticking with the mythology and all....

So are the preds Yautja or elders?

I still think it should be based on the books/comics; Dach'shande would be so ****ing cool on film.

Still going to go see it though.

The first AVP book did rock its a shame their not copying it, oh and id guess their elders if it follows the book at all , humans were considdered too dangerous a prey for Yautja.

This really had better be good!

It'll be so tragic if it sucks and is just an insult to the Alien, Predator & Alien vs Predator series.

EDIT: An if it ends up being a 12 I'll SCREAM - By rights all films involving these guys should be 18s, it should be law - Even in Resurection wasn't.

Sorry if you're under 18 but it should be

Most likely it'll have a 15 certificate stamped on it - unless there's anything really over-the-top gorewise.

I mean, if the Alien movies were to go up for reclassification, most of them would be 15 certificate now. Resident Evil did have some marvellous gore (the guys gettin sliced into pieces by the laser) to go with it's 15cert, so i wouldnt worry too much :)

Don't reckon all the chest bursting and dead people hanging aroung in the cooling towers in Aliens would get through on a 15.

God damn it there's just nowhere near enough 18s anymore, but then every film just wants the biggest audience with disposable income = the youth market :sigh:

    **** **** **** **** **** **** **** ****.

    The preds are five Yautja!
    what the ****?!

There should be at least 2 or 3 elder males overseeing them...:(

    Meh!

*Wanted the film to be based around Prey*

It seems that it may be though...Apparantly the 'main' predator character works with the humans....
