I know dude - ill be glued to Sky Movies this monday and tuesday for it...... Theyve made some biiig changes tho, like making one of the original male lead characters a female....... now, im no sexist, but they better be prepared for some criticism for that
what exactly is the story behind battlestar galactica? because everyone is hyped about it, and theres an aparantly mini-series, where is all this hype coming from ?
Lets see, born in 1985, nope, you're too young to remember it. Battlestar Galactica was one of the original sci fi shows. An excellent series that was killed before its time. All of the hype is being created by those of us that remember it in all of its glory and love the work that they did on the new miniseries. Its an excellent show and if they carry the quality of the miniseries into the weekly series then its going to be one of the best sci fi shows on tv.
born 1985 here too ;P but i know a bit about bsg...its an interesting show i saw like 2 of the original episodes and it was pretty good. gotta go steal the others from my friends dvd collection the miniseries movie that recently aired on sci-fi wasnt too bad but i think the original series was better even though i only saw two episodes. Didn't they cut bsg off the air after one season from what i recall?

I've seen it.... its not a bad series... only seems to be two episodes, and each is like 90 mins long... could have done with being 4 x 45 min episodes imo The sfx are good as you'd expect, but its basically a padded out remake
Hope they have new footage of those exploding Cylon ships, man that has to be one of the most recycled footage ever in Sci-Fi history.

Thats the first episode There making a series of it now. Thats the pilot you've seen. I watched it a couple of months ago, i thought it was pretty good. Looking forward to the new series

Dad...where did you get the info on that Cylon? It's not the same design they used for the mini-series. SciFi now has a site up on the original series and the Post says release will be around fall '04 to early winter '05.
There are a few different versions of Cylons. Humans in general don't know that there is a human look-alike version. They were created after the peace treaty was signed and the Cylons weren't seen for a long period of time. I think the one Dad has is the newest non-human style, while the ones seen at the very beginning of the miniseries (with the claws) are the style last seen by humans.
