I am trying to work out a new build for someone and just want to see what people think.

Last week I did my first ever build which I'm very happy with. A friend of a friend has asked me to do a similar build for him but not as high spec. He wants to easily be able to run 4 monitors.

I said I could probably do it for £750 which would ideally include about £100 profit for me and another mate for ordering it all and putting it together. So really the budget is about £650. If though it needs to be a bit more I might be able to get a bit more out of him and if I can get it cheaper then it means more profit for me.

My build last week was this:

    Motherboard - MSI P67A-GD53

    CPU - Intel Core i5 - 2500K 3.3 GHz

RAM - Corsair Vengeance Jet Black LP 8GB DDR3

Cooling - Be Quiet! Dark Rock Advanced

    Hard Disk - 2 x Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB

SSD - Crucial Real SSD M4 64GB solid state drive

    Optical Drive - Samsung SH-S222AB

    Case - Fractal R3

PSU - Antec TruePower New TP-650

    Sound Card - M-Audio Audiophile 2496

Graphics Card - Sapphire 5770 Flex

So for my friends build here's the details:

    Budget: - £650
Main uses of intended build: - Multimedia, CAD, very casual gaming
Monitor resolution: - easily use 4 monitors
Storage requirements: - 1 hard disk, no SSD
    Will you be overclocking: yes

I'm thinking of buying the following:

    Motherboard - MSI P67A-G45 (B3) - £93.20

    CPU - Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz - £163.40

    RAM - 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance - £68.16

    Cooling - Gelid Tranquillo - £23.98

    Hard Disk - 1TB Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 - £38.98

    Optical Drive - Samsung SH-S222AB/BEBE - £14.50

    Graphics Card - 1GB Sapphire HD 5770 FleX - £107.48

    Wireless Card - Abit AirPace PCI-E 54Mbps - £5.96

    Either

    Case - Antec 100 One Hundred - £41.81

    PSU - 650W Antec TruePower - £92.27

TOTAL £649.74 (£666.52 inc. del.) ALL THE ABOVE FROM SCAN.CO.UK

OR get this case and PSU from ebuyer on special offer reduced from £100

Coolermaster Centurion 5 II Case with Coolermaster GX 550W PSU - £74.99 (£87.75 inc delivery) from eBuyer

    TOTAL £603.41 (£613.00 inc. del.)

    Any thoughts/comments much appreciated. Cheers
