Just overclock if you really need the extra speed, It also has two more core cores which are allot better than hyper threading. More and more games are starting to use 4 cores. An i5 750 will be a more future proof for the sake of 70 pounds.
You also have less stress on the mobo with dual cores, less heat and the i3's overclock MUCH better than the i5's.
Clock speeds aren't everything. The microarchitecture of the i3 line is a little different than the i5-760's architecture. give this a good read through and don't forget the other pages. The i3 is a good processor for the low end market, but from much of the benchmarks on that review, the i5-750 clearly performs better than the clarkdale processors that he tests. From that article, I would say that the i3 is a good fall back if you have budget issues, but it's not something I would jump at if I had enough money to get something better.
They do over clock better, but a 4.2GHz 4 core would still Sh*t on an overclocked i3 If you can afford an i5 you should really go for it.
i like the little debate thats going on guys but im gonna stick with the i7-760 ________ IOLITE REVIEWS VAPORIZER

Bloody hell! Those prices is a STEAL!!!! Put some of the money you save toward a motherboard that can Crossfire/SLI at x8/x8 may be? Or forget the noisy Thermaltake Frio (if you haven't bought it yet) and go for the Thermalright Silver Arrow if you can find one at a good price? My Silver Arrow is totally inaudiable over the case fans. http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pages/thermalright_silver_arrow,5.html
