Hi, I've been asked by a girl at work to build a new pc for her, budget is about £400 for the base unit, will be used primarily for video editing (premier, pinnacle) and photo editing (cs2). I've heard that P4s perform slightly better in this field, any reccomendations? Also, I'm hoping to get 1GB of Ram in it so pricing will be tight. My current boxes are all AMD 64/XP so I was hoping someone could give me some pointers regarding Intel CPUs and motherboards to go for at the moment that will fit the budget. I'm not asking you to do the homework for regarding pricing/availability, I just want some reccomendations on parts that would be suitable.
