Need advice about cooling, so far i have this in mind.

Asus Maxumus IV Gene-Z Intel Z68
    Intel Core i5 2500K
1GB MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II/OC,
    750W XFX Black Edition
3TB Hitachi 0F12450 Deskstar SATA III

As for the CPU cooler im not entirely sure if i should just go with water cooling, unless there are any extremely small but efficient coolers out there?, not really into coolers that take up half my case and hide the motherboard. So just incase i think ill probably go with the Corsair 600T, overclocking is not a concern though.

All in all its 830 bucks from Scan, excluding the RAM and additional cooling. Though hoping to get both for under the 1000 pound mark.

Any feedback would be much obliged,
    Cheers.

i would recommend the corsair H50 :) its small and efficient.... when u mean overclocking is not a concern then will you not overclock?? if so you do not really need an aftermarket cooler as this would be no benefit to a CPU running at stock

why get a single expensive 3TB drive ?? when you can get 2Tb for £54 and 1TB for £30

it makes no sense esp as your using a case with a large number of expansion space for HDDS
would also go for a corsair AX power supply as i love the black cables it comes with.
you might as well get the i5-2500 if your not overclocking
also have you checked out the msi p67a-gd53 ?? its £100 and a very good performer.

    Pretty much this.

As for the cooler, disregard the H50, acquire Cogage Arrow. It's kicked the H50's ass in a fair few tests (It's pretty much the Thermaltake Silver Arrow, just minus the 2 140mm fans and has a a120mm instead.)

My thinkin is man to max out the HDD bays with 3TB drives over time, leavin one space for an SSD. Never really thought the 120 bucks as bein THAT exspensive for 3TB, pegd against external prices, seems kinda reasonable?. But the price difference between the 2500 and the 2500k bein fairly negligable, reckon ill stick with the 2500k if i ever do wanna overclock, but its no real priority.

Cheers for the guide, aye the power supply is really just a form of future proofin mate, will probably up the graphics at some point. And the SSD, will propably wait for a price drop i reckon before i invest in one, spent over a decade with HDDs, another year or so wont hurt.

Still a bit unconvinced about the cooling though. Could it be possible to stick a dual pump/resevoir in one of the optical bays and set up a simple loop?

I would get the mobo as it's only £50 more but is a nice colour and O/C better but
The other choice of hardware is baffling.
