Hi all, I am after some advice on what you think i should get for my new computer, my information is as follows: Budget: $1000- $1400 Australian dollars (Approx the same as US) Main uses of intended build: Gaming and general use Parts required: All Previous build information (list details of parts): None as i am giving my current PC to my mother. Monitor resolution: Storage requirements: 2TB most likely, wouldn't mind an SSD as well Will you be overclocking: yes Any motherboard requirements (no. of USB, Xfire/SLI, fan headers): May upgrade to SLI in the future if that is applicable otherwise no specific requirements. Extra information about desired system: I have looked into the various components and was aiming for an i5 or i7, 8 gig of Memory and possibly a GPU like the MSI GTX 560 Hawk Ti. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated. Regards, Auctus
A few threads in this forum for recommendations on an £800 PC which I believe is in the ball park of $1000 - $1400 Australian Dollars.
Hi again, my resolution is 1600x900 Furthermore i looked into the forums a bit more and came up with: CPU: Intel core i5 2500K Mobo: Asus P8P67 Pro B3 Memory: G.Skill 1600 2x4 Gig Graphics: MSI Geforce GTX 560TI Hawk 1Gig PSU: OCZ ModXSteam Pro 600W Modular Case: Coolermaster HAF 912 Advanced Storage: Seagate Baracuda Green 2TB Optical: Generic Samsung DVDRW OS: Windows 7 IS this a reasonable build for its ~$1300 (~880 GBP) pricetag? Also i have a few questions: 1. What is a good alternative to the graphics card as supply in Australia for this card seams to be running dry atm. 2. Is 600W enough for my system? 3. Is the motherboard the best choice or is something from MSI such as teh MSI P67A-GD65 a better choice? Thanks for you help guys
