    Hi there folks.

    I'm trying to solve a problem that I'm having with a new build for my dad.

    Essentially nothing is happening when I try to power it on. No signs of life at all just nothing.

    Spe is 3570k. Gigabyte H77 D3H. 260x HIS. 2x4gb RAM.

    Things I've tried;

    Tested power switch on other pc.
    Reset CMOS.
    Reseated CPU.
    Tested PSU in my 2500k rig (works fine)
    Tested RAM and 260X in my rig.
    Checked for shorting, grounding. In and out of case.

    Naturally I assumed that the board was dead (after checking with the retailers too who concurred). RMAd and it was tested and they claim it is fine.

    Could it be a dead CPU causing no signs of life.

    I know I could test the 3570k in place of my 2500k but believe it or not I'm out of thermal paste and it's on order! :)

    Please let me know if anyone knows or has encountered this before! Thanks

    Maybe build it on the motherboards box just to see if you can bring up the bios.

    The motherboards pins are all fine?
