    Hi all,

Im looking for advice on a build so I've come here!

Budget:£800 max (including display, but possibly excluding postage)

Main uses of intended build: Gaming, Photoshop (only amateur level though), general surfing etc.

Parts required:Everything except a PSU and OS.

    Previous build information:No previous build

    Monitor resolution:No monitor yet!

    Storage requirements: No specifics

Will you be overclocking: Big Yes!

    Any motherboard requirements: Nothing specific

Extra information about desired system: I'm swaying towards an i5 2500k, and Im ok with buying now and swapping the mobo when the recall happens. Ideally id like a gtx 560 as my gpu to. But i'll take all suggestions!

    Thanks in advance :)

What kind of display are you thinking of? I posted this build in another thread, but it sorta fits here:

You say you don't need an operating system or PSU so if we minus £135 from the total there there's more than enough space in that build to get an i5-2500K and accompanying motherboard and 560:

    i5-2500K (£162)
    MSI P67A-GD55 (£129) - doesn't have to be this
    GTX 560 (£200)

price difference from parts there: +£173
    minus OS & PSU: -£135
total w/ SB stuff in it and 560 minus OS & PSU: £773

You're in budget with a bit to spare! You might be able to use the extra to get a somewhat better case or better motherboard or better monitor or you could be happy with being under budget ^^.
