First of all, you may want to look at these sites: 7 Day Shop Cameras2U Internet Cameras Direct And save yourself a whole lot of money... The Sony DSC-P120 goes for about £230 on those sites for example Second of all, I'd stay away from Sony cameras, from all the ones I have used I think they are too slow, bad at autofocusing, and they also use Sony's proprietary memory sticks. Take a look at brands like Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, or Fuji even.
I'LL second Internet Cameras Direct. I bought mine there a couple of years ago and have recommended it to a bunch of people and they've all been more than happy with the pricing and level of service they've recieved. The delivery is particularly good!
The dudes at Pixmania are pretty cool too. As for camera recomendations, I've just bought a Olympus C770UZ, and couldn't be happier with it. I've just bought an underwater housing (scroll down the page) for it, and I plan taking it diving when I go on holiday in December.
one of these .i've just got the A60(bottom of range) and its full of settings to f*** up/about with and its got idiot proof one button takes a picture mode for my dad. oh and the pics are pretty good too.
Price has gone up on this little gem. I managed to get it with four 2300NimH and a charger for just over £270 upon it's release. Damn good camera though - taken some fantastic shots.
