Well I've finally managed to get hold of a car I've wanted for a while. It's a bit of a shed, but that's fine as I'm only after the one part to put in my 205, the plan is to give it a complete rebuild and a set of carbs on the way.

I'll get some better pictures at some point soon.

There is a huge hole where your license plate is supposed to be! I'd get that fixed if I were you. :hehe:

Unfortunatly the 405 is a gonner, the thing is knackered and the amount of work required to bring it back to MOT level, let alone the level I'd want it to be is unfeasible, hence taking the good bits.

If anyone wants a mouldy interior, leaky sunroof, dented and rusty panels, rusty brakes, or other bits get in touch.

It cost £330 if that's an indication of the condition it's in.

mmm mi-16... keep us updated with the progress on this one, that engine in a 205 will most probably kill you, but id defintaly say its worth going ahead with it. :D

what condition is the egine is, service history at all? is it a runner. id recommend paying some serious attention to the internals before it goes into the other pug (head gasket, tappets, water pump, cam belt, sparks etc)

    good luck :)

(just read your going for a full rebuild with carbs, twin webers by any chance) drools

Great stuff. My mate had a 206MI16. They're a good all rounder. not the quickest things, but definatley a great budget track-day toy.

Keep us updated with the rebuild.

Nothing really, it's a 1.9 16valve, has a superb head, and fairly big valves as standard, so it's easy to get more power out of.

Grungedead: Yeah, I'll probably go for a pair of Weber 45 DCOEs.
