    Hi guys,
just wannna know what you think of for a 550-600W cheaper-the better, not too concerned about quality (going to be A 2 month stop-gap till i get more £££) i was looking at this
    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?NOV-PSU600
would this be compatible with a dell inspiron 530 atx case, and would it be enough to power an e4500, a 3850,1 HDD and 1 optical drive?
i've only got about £40 to spend on a PSU :waah:

it has very good customer reviews, but why is it soooooo cheap?!

    Job done.

Customer reviews are BS - never ever read them.

Problems with "Customer Reviews": 1) companies artificially inflate products they want to sell more of 2) other companies post customer reviews to boost their own products - Killer NIC "reviews" on newegg are a fine example 3) Customers know SOD ALL - they see a single product not dozens ;)

2nded. That's the PSU of choice if you're looking for a cheap PSU, and the best thing is, you don't even have to do compromises with the quality. Absolutely no reason to get a new one after a while if you go with the Corsair.

The Corsair as Bindi says, or a 430W Seasonic S12. Seeing as they are basically the same unit.

just bought this 600w for 23 quid
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/119227

seems to work perfectly on my 4200 x2, and 8800 gts
if it blows up I will report back.
I have never gone for these expensive branded power supplies and never had a problem in 8 odd years.
    Each to their own

From my experience with the Corsairs, don't think you can go wrong with that. It's a thrifty price and very solid psu for your needs. Plus, as we know, the Corsair PSUs come with a wonderful five-year warranty. ;)

Customer reviews are fun to read, though. I once read about one guy giving a harddrive lowest score because it didn't ship with a SATA cable even though the title of the product clearly stated "Bulk"...

I have seen what cheap PSUs can do. (Both in terms of damage and instability.)

I hope Corsair makes good PSUs. I have one 650W one sitting behind me unused... The parts it will be powering is still in the mail... Stupid Christmas rush! :wallbash:

Corsairs are great PSU's for the money tbh, at the kind of price you can pick the 450W one up for, you'd be mad to buy anything else atm tbh...

Corsairs are bloody excellent, should have mine powering tri-fire in the new year, and it's already handled 8800 GTS Sli AND some wild overclocking...

You get what you pay for.

Except in the case of a VX 450. You get a Lot more than you pay for.

Customer psu reviews are the worst. "I put it into my system and it works 10/10". How about seeing a good proper review which actually loads it, tests ripple, crossload, all that sorta thing?

Does some site actually bother reviewing cheap PSUs? Haven't seen any, reviewing one seems like utter waste of time, as the quality sucks and the results most likely vary from unit to unit.
