If you home coolant setup doesnt work. Give the http://www.fogbuster.com/ a look. many people on CNCZone think it is the best non flood coolant you can do.
Wow, that looks like a nice kit, but it's a little pricey. My homebrew should only cost me around $60. If it doesn't work, there's no loss really, I'll just have a new airbrush...
I'm doubtful about the low air pressure. Usually minimum cooling sprayers utilize a high pressure to ensure cut zone wetting.
the way the fogbuster works you do not need the high pressure/volume spray. They are supposed to do an extremly good job. they are not meant for High speed machineing like you see in most of the CNC video's out there. They are mean for very modest feeds and cutting speeds.
Well, I'll try the cheaper method before I step up to something bigger. I've done a little research, and I'm not the only one that has tried doing something with an airbrush. I've not actually seen the documentation of the method though. I intend to remedy that!
First: Congratulations, and you suck! Second: A good candidate for a cheap mister is a garden sprayer. You can adjust the nozzle even.
You mean a project log? I know you must be tired of this question but I just can't help it. These concept plans you have released have made me to start planing a m-atx based mod also, so I'm really expecting to how you are going to execute of this project! (And why I have a feeling I'm not the only one )
Lol, thanks man. It might take a little practice to get the machine setup and running properly for my needs. I really need to make sure I can cut carbon fiber/kevlar blends properly. I've found some mill bits for the job, but their performance is an unknown. A garden sprayer might work as well. I'll do a little more research before I commit to a method. I've been teasing for a pretty long time, haven't I?
Oh, you mean like this? I know it's frustrating as hell for everyone that is subscribed to this thread and is thinking when the hell is this a-hole actually going to do something productive? Well, I could start tonight if I wanted, but I need to get a few more things done on the Hutch project. Well, actually, I just need to get the reservoir finished (it's mostly done), and then I'll be waiting on parts I need to continue it, and will start this project while I wait.
WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and im a comodian (toilet comedian [crappy comedian]) i dont get paid to be funny cuz im not thats why i still hate my day job
Lol, that's... um... yeah... I just got shipment notification on the CNC a little while ago. It won't make it here this week... First part of next week though! Gah, I'm so impatient!
Then you have to set it up. -Get it good and oiled up... -Talk dirty to it... Langer said CF eats through mill bits like mad. Be prepared.
if thats the case then the water jet seems like a better option but might not be a cost efficient one
