News New Elder Scrolls by 2010?

According to Bethesda's publishing executive, the team may be able to have a new Elder Scrolls game out by 2010.

 

I'm yet to play any of the originals or sequels from them. I guess I'll take the opportunity from next week on seeing that I'll be unemployed.

I love the Elder Scrolls games, but I never seem to be able to finish one. Morrowind I played mostly side quests and Oblivion I ended up loosing my save to a reformat (that really kills your motivation to play again).

I will probably pick up Fallout 3 when it gets a weekend discount on Steam.

 

It would shock me if they hadn't had a small team working on this behind the scenes.

I want to get home and whack my Fallout disk in, damnit

 

oblivion was rubbish doubt ill touch the new one (although i might buy it for graphics alone if they are really good)

Hopefully the hardware to play the game at decent fps will be affordable by 2012.

Can't wait. I played Oblivion for ages, and Fallout 3 is just something to hold me over until the next ES comes out.

 

I hate bethesda, 360 main platform. What is even worse, Pc will get a straight 360 port, in 2010 that will mean average graphics and rterrible inetrface. Fallout, a reverred PC franchise was madde with 360 as main platforrm, despite PC making it what it is today,a s well as Bethesda. I hate bethesda. Did i mention I hate Bethesda.

 

what a load of poppycock, if i remember rightly the 360 graphics for oblivion were decidedly meh yet the PC graphics were pretty much the game to beat for a while (made my 7900GT weep anyways).

HEHE, I can write a book on the terrible RPG elements that make up oblivion. oblivion is like a gateway drug, it is what people who had no clue what an RPG was played toa ctually get into real RPG's. From the broken skills (Speech anyone), bad minigames, terrible AI, worst dialog any RPG has ever seen, the whole game and dungeons looks indentical, loot scaling ruin one of the biggest drwas of an RPG,, exploration and loot, level Scaling ruins any sense of progression, another key point iN RPG's, game is the same at lvl 1 as 50. Absolutely no dialog choices, no consequences for your actions, terrible characters. The world is being attacked by demons, and everyone walks around like everything is OK, cookie cutter NPC's. It is to easy to make one character a master at everything, negating any need to play with different styles in different play thoughs. yes, Oblivion is a bad RPG.

 

Bull, the graphics were the same, it was Mods that made any difference. Also, we are talking about 2010, you actually think bethesda arr gonna make the PC version so it takes advantage of 2010 Pc hardware, bull, it will be a straight port. Name one gaem that was released on all 3 platforms that ws different on PC then consoles? Oblivion was identical in every version, it were the LOD mods that mad Oblivion betetr on PC, not Lazy bethesda. Fallout was born on PC as were Beth, no way 360 should be elad plat, games should be made on the best platfrom to max out its potential, not make a lesser platform the main so the betetr platform suffers, that is backwards. The graphics were top back then as it was 2006, and the 360 was new and Pc hardware was not much ahead then we are talking 2010 here. Pc will be light years ahead, it si a longs ways ahead now.

 

As much as I hate to say this, I think I actually agree with Lepermessiah. Wow.

 

Not untill they've milked it for all its worth, dog-armor packs will be appearing anytime now...
