As I said in some other posts, time to get onto the GPU wagon, nothing special but a new rig has been born, getting it before that nasty VAT increase! Might grab be 30k-40k PPD, we'll see. Spec as follows: Coolermaster 690 II Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2 WC'd (Corsair H70) Intel 950 @4.2 6gb DDR3, all the 9's-24 memory @1900 Two 1GB Gigabyte GTX 460 Super OC @925/4200 Spinpoint F3 1tb spinner Three XIGMATEK XLF-F1455 140mm super silent fans (honestly they are worth the money) Wont be 24/7 as every now and then I will be using it to let off some steam in COD, but we all do that from time to time, right? Creaping closer to that 500k PPD barrier! Whoop!
Nice nice Get some pics of your VMware environment up mate as im very interested as I have built and administer a fair few ESXi/vSphere environments
That'll be some serious processing power ..... and I thought my electricity bill was expensive (Perhaps you've not had your first bill since you started Folding in ernest?? If that is the case, make sure you've got some Vallium handy when it arrives )
Sorry for the slackness in getting that sorted. I have also updated my albums on this site. http://forums.bit-tech.net/album.php?u=65765
THE scooby killing Corrado lol good stuff, what power is it running? Nice rigs though, I still really want to know about your VMware environment thats kicking out all that PPD, can you get some pics of it when your in work? (assuming its works servers)
Now that gives me an idea. I've got a couple of hundred cores sitting in my datacentre. Time to check what the load's like
VMware stuff isnt very interesting, I will see about some pics. Not as simple as one may think getting a camera into my DC
