new gigabyte ga-7vt600-L problems

    i just intalled this board for my dad with his 1700+ and now it wont read the chip at the proper speeds. i updated the bios to the latest version it still wont read it at its rated speed. it only shows 1100mhz right now when it should be at around 1400mhz. any1 kno how i can fix this? thanks

    check the motherboard manual for jumper settings to set the multiplier. The mutliplier selector might also be a block of dip switches (normally bright blue).
