Got my b-spec bob to lvl 34. I'm so close to getting to the endurance races. Just need to get past level 30 in a-spec lmao.
questions. whats the best cheapest ps3 gt5 pack I should get, should you ever get one off ebay? whats the best cheapest 3d tv, heard there is a new 3d tv with out the need for glasses whats the best cheapest force feedback wheel?
I'd say just get the cheapest PS3 you can, especially if its just for GT5. The 160GB Slim is the cheapest IIRC. I'd looked on ebay when I was purchasing mine, but the cost for the second hand ones didn't seem to give enough of a reduction over a brand new one for the potential problems. So I bought mine new.
I've not spent enough time on this game to comment properly but... You now manage the driver? WTF is that all about?
It's called B-Spec and you can have up to 6 AI drivers. Basically it is the exact same races as with the normal (A-Spec) driver (i.e. You) except rather than drive the car yourself you give a drive 'orders' such as 'Increase Pace', 'Decrease Pace' and 'Maintain Pace'. You can also decide when to pit. During pitting you can swap drivers, take on fuel or change your tyres. The Pros Are; 1. You get XP and Credits for taking part in the races exactly as you would when driving yourself. 2. You get car awards for 'golding' the events. 3. You can leave your driver racing and go off and do something else. The Cons Are (warning! Opinions contained below!); 1. There is no time multiplier - a 24 hour race is 24 hours long! 2. It's not really 'Manage Your Own Team' as the box states - in this respect it is very basic. 3. It's a little boring in my opinion and a bit of a grind. 4. I don't really see the point of it other than to grind XP. Hope this helps!
Nice one! Did you get it by completing the challenge or B-Specing to level 40? If the former then you have nuts of steel my friend!
Well, I won the Red Bull X2010 this morning. Nice surprise as I thought that you had to get to level 40 - it was nice to see that shiny new ticket when I got to B-Spec level 35! I didn't even have to spend the 20Million credits I had saved up! Currently running the 24 Hours Of Le Mans on B-Spec with it. This car is a beast that even Bob is having a hard time handling. It is lucky that there is no damage on as he keeps ramming the other cars on the big straights! In the fist hour he's taken out a Bentley, a Pesceralo and a Viper!
Lvl 35 too. I won the le mans 24 but it's only worth 300k. Seems kind pointless although I was rewarded with a Toyota gt one. I did It in the red bull and managed 481 laps. That's freaking insane!
Hmm, might cancel the race then - PS3 has been on for a week! 300K is not a lot for 24 hours and I am not sure I will use the Toyota.
It's pretty cool to see the red bull Racing at night. I need to do the nurburgring now. I just wish the 24 hours was worth more. Maybe the a-spec one is worth more?
My 120GB slim is a little frightening when it's first turned on or off. It makes some cracking noises as the plastic shell expands and contracts. Suppose that means I should just keep it running 24/7 on endurance races so that never happens.
yeah my sliim does that I sent my bob(s) to do the 24hr race in the formula gt which is fine for bob(s), but if i ever have to do night driving without headlights at a speed of 220mph, i'll be creating bricks like its nobody business
Currently levelling up my B-Spec driver, I really wish there were seasonal races for B-Spec. Its borderline painful!! Just made it to Lvl 4
It gets easier when B-spec is a higher level. I just plonked my new drivers into Swarzwald A with an R8 and that one race caused them to go up to lvl 4. Now I'm doing Rome in European Championship, with one good driver and one newbie. 99k credits and gets a few levels too.
Throw your driver at the supercar champ with a ZR1, 3 races and he/she hits lvl 5. Or just drag them along an endurance. But of course the beginning is absolutely horrid.
