Hi everyone. New to this thread am a member of a few others, used to read on this forums a while ago but never got round to registiring. But i have been slowly engulfed into registiring. List of things i have sucessfully destroyed in the past 4-5 HDD - i still refuse to take the blame it was my old computer it liked finsihing them off no HDD deaths on the new one 1 Graphics card - was quite funny actually i was overclocking it "slowly" when i was about to increase the slider by another 5mhz when my bro scared the living day lights out of me ended up dragging the slider a bit too much (using rivatuner) din't check what it was on and clicked ok, oh oh. Fuzzly lines came up all went weird "panicked" but didn'tdo owt until a few seconds later i heard ma dad coming into room (he'd paid for the comp) i quickly pulled out the psu lead and pretened to be looking for something . He still doesn't know about it lol oh and finally a monitor it had a fit how about you guys what have you destroyed or even brought ack from the graveyard
From one newbie to another...HI! I think I've destroyed pretty much every component in a PC at some point.....who's into building/tinkering/overclocking computers that hasn't?
oh i forgot a cpu can be added to that list i can remeber when i first gathered a keen interest in overclock and trying to make anything thats working better and anything that wasn't working to try to get it working. First time i destroyed something a while ago (the cpu) i got a long lecture of how enver to do it again and how i had learnt my lesson at the expense of £70 i nodded. But deep down i wanted more and carried on overlocking/tweaking. Its like a drug free addiction no crack no weed just the will to get the best out of everything (simply technolgy & max potential). People say whats the need to overclock something thats working fine. I say whats the need to spend £200 on a cpu when a £100 can be overclocked to perform like the £200 chip. and HI lol
Welcome! There's already a huge thread about this at the modding forum: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=30228&page=42
