    Original story

Granted the quotes were probably selected to be "newsworthy", but this is the belief held by a significant percentage of the American public. :wallbash:

See, this is what worries me. The world doesn't want to be lead by America. It wants diplomacy and perhaps support, but most other countries really are capable of managing their own affairs without American interference.

Consider the audience when judging the message. I agree that the US should, for the most part, keep it's nose out of the rest of the world's business, but saying that isn't going to get Hillary elected. You have to keep in mind that most American voters feel that the US would be justified in attacking other nations preemptivly and so if a canidate were to say "We're going to leave other countries alone" they will not get elected. A lot of American voters still believe in the inherent, inalienable superority of the United States and so if you don't talk about "American leadership in the world" you don't get elected. I agree, it's a pretty messed up system that forces canidates to say things like this to get elected, but it's the system we're stuck with. :wallbash:
