CPU New Intel CPUs plus price drops on existing ones

    As per Tom's Hardware.

    Price drops and new stuff is never a bad thing!

    Sadly, doesn't seem to be anything with OC potential.

    I'd be happy too see 1156 stuff plummet, tbh. There's still plenty of life left in my i5-750, but I'd happily drop in an i7 if I could find one for around 150€.

    Maybe when IB gets here, i7-870 would make for a nice fallback surfing rig;)

    Forget it until there will be something introduced higher than 2500K and 2600K.

    Why would intel bother? The unlocked chips are presumably already cherrypicked, so intel would have to start selling inferior 2600k chips in order to add a more expensive 2700k, which would potentially overclock no better than previous 2600k processors.
    The only hope is a new stepping, but why bother with LGA2011 coming in 6-8 months?
