Apple New Intel Mac Mini's & ipod Boombox

    But Intel GMA is CRAP, it's not even proper acceleration or video enhancement.

    The average new home computer now is probably at least a 3200+ Athlon 6400 with at least 512Mb RAM. Whether or not you're doing CAD etc, a faster computer is always nicer. I have to say, though, I'm not a big fan of the Mac minis. Just make it a bit bigger and have a proper hard drive (I.e. not a laptop one), and it would be much faster, surely. It would only need to be half an inch taller or something. It's like having a laptop, with none of the advantages of a laptop. I guess it looks nice though.

    Well I've just hooked the mini up and I didnt get any free upgrades, bah not to worry it was still a bargin!

    I got a lacie hard drive for the mini, at the moment its just 80gb but I will be sticking a 500gb disc inside in the next week or so.

    Bindi: Thats why I went the refurb route I would have got a new one if it wasnt for the gfx.

    Couldnt get a comparable pc for £255 particularly the same size :D
