Only a single new case from Lian-Li this time around, but as usual it's quite a stunner. Enter the PC-9F. It looks just that bit more refined than the PC-8FI, but I'm still holding out for a midi version of the absolutely delectable PC-A77F, which only has one fault in my eyes. It's too deep.
Yeah, it's a neat case, but as far as I know they only make a windowed version. I'm more the "non-window" type.
Okay from now on, no more cheap cases. Lian Li or nothing else, even if I go broke, those aluminum babies are gorgeous.
hehe yep thing is if you buy a case for £80, to me its just worth another £80 to have a lian li. at the end of the day you'll have it a long time, you may as well be very happy with it or else its just going to annoy you forever and a day. also if anything gets damaged, buy another panel. in this instance you'll save a hell of a lot of money over a complete new case.
Well, my Lian-Li PC61 has been in use since 2002. Show me any other case (brand) with a comparable mileage. (Truth be told, I'm very inclined to get a new case, but it HAS to be better in all respects, which is why I'm constantly checking Lian-Li's pages for new cases )
I bought the PC-9F because there was no review at all anywhere. Also it was hard to get since there was only one retailer selling it. Sundai Micro. Anyways this case is NICE. Although there are some things I don't like but mostly its very great build quality. I will post pictures soon.
Early prices in Europe seem to show the new PC-9F between £91 and £106 (link: http://skinflint.co.uk/de/a521731.html). If this is right (who knows) then it looks like a great case for the money - specially considering the PC-8FI is on the wrong side of £200 and is virtually identical apart from the front panel.
A0krn. What window did you use for the 9f? This one? http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=27602 "Lian Li W-LM2AB-6" Thanks!
