Apple new mac pros (8 cores)

    No one has posted yet about the new 8 core mac pros?

    For the record - You can now purchase a new mac pro configured with 2 quad core xeons. Each processor has 8 megs of cache. The box can take up to 16 gb of ram :jawdrop:

    Uh - For about 5 hours now..... Even in the computer industry - that's still pretty new.....

    yer they are not on sale over here in the uk yet!!! sounds well good but the price!!! an extra $1498 which means that us over here in the uk will have to spend an extra £900-£1000 because everything over here is more expensive! but still if i had the money i would!

    Guess business get the first slice of apple goodness :p

    Hmm...
    there are no quad xeons on there only dual cores!
    so still none in the uk.

    I love that show!

    On the subject of these new computers though, I mean, is this a case of more speed for speed's sake? Considering what was already on offer?
