    Hi,

I'm looking for a new monitor for my cousin, it needs to work with his 360 (no HDMI) and his PC obviously. He has an 8800GTS 320MB graphics card, so there's not much point in getting one with too high a resolution. I had this card running ok on my 22 inch monitor (1680x1050), but with anything above that it may start to struggle, so I was thinking anything between 19" and 22". Price - £200 max.

    Any suggestions?

Also, he only has one set of speakers, is there a way to switch the sound between the 360 and PC, save having to buy another set of speakers?

    Thanks in advance.

    Audio Splitting

I was faced with the same problem with my last setup, which included a gamecube, xbox and PC (the consoles were sent through the graphics card's VIVO). I never actually figured it out because I was too poor to look up and buy a solution, but I should've, because they're cheaper and easier to find than I'd imagined:

Ah thanks, hopefully setting up the audio won't be too much of a problem then. I am still looking for a good monitor though.

The Samsung 22" panels have always been held in high regard, can't go wrong with them tbh. :)

You can make a audio switcher pretty easily if you can use a soldering iron.

Monitor wise, T200 Samsung o the 2032 are on my shopping list when I have some spare dosh.

i've been using ga 19" hanns g, cheep and it works fairly well, i think there around $145 has vga and dvi input so you can switch easily, i ended up running my 360 threw the audio in on my computer, and then just left it on. I'd suggest stretching for a 22" since a 19" becomes cramped quickly. but with price an issue 19" are great.

Well I was thinking of getting a monitor which had a component input, although I could get the VGA adapter for the 360. Also, isn't the sound transferred through the component cable, so how would that work with that audio switch?

Well if you use the vga, it comes with an adapter, and if u use component most electronic stores will have a rca > 3.5 stereo plug adapter.
