I currently have a Gigabyte GA-965G-DS3 (rev. 3.3) which I need to replace. Unfortunately this board is now discontinued and was wondering which board to use. Requirements Intel P4, ATX, fanless, for Conroe processor and to use same memory as GA-965G-DS3 (rev. 3.3) board uses. 3 PCI slots.

I have been happy with the gigabyte board so would use them again

I use to have an old 965G-DS3 which was a great board, so kept with Gigabyte. See my sig below for my 3 boards. All are great.

I have cdecided to use a gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3R board. I have also decided to replace my C drive. In my previous set up I had a 320gb drive as the C drive and a 500gb drive as the D drive. I am going to replace the 320gb drive with another 500 gb drive. This drive will be a new unformatted drive. Will windows recognise the new drive as being the one to install the operating systen onto. Should I install windows with only the new drive connected then connect the D driver once windows has been installed?

I would say it would be easier just to install the second drive after you have install Windows, and of course make sure the new drive is set as the master. :dremel:
