Dad wants a new pc - he has an Athlon XP, quite old + slow.
Also the PSU made an odd noise yesterday so it could die, badness.
I figure if I could make a SFF pc then it could sit on the desk within easy access.
I haven't got an exact budget but it needs to be cheap. (about the affordable all rounder price or a bit less if possible)

He needs a complete new PC:
CPU for multitasking (only office, email, pictures and web etc but often all at the same time!)
Small case and motherboard to fit
RAM, optical, PSu, storage, +Win 7. Doesn't need graphics cause he doesn't game (onboard or I have an old passive Geforce 7300LE)

I figure the affordable all rounder:
    AM3 athlon 250 - £54.01
    500Gb Seagate - £35.64
Chead sata DVD burner - £15.99
    Cheaper DDR3 4Gb - ~ £60
Need Case (Was thinking Antec NSk 1380 - £80 Case + PSU) or (Silverstone Sg02 Evo + Corsair Cx400 - £90 for both but proper ATX PSu)
Also need cheap but good MATX AM3 board, only need basic spec really.
    Win 7 - £64.68
This is about £230 for all except case Psu and mobo.

    Need help.

This is an assumption but when bit-tech made the affordable all rounder list I'm assuming they made it for people who understand computers... your dad isn't gonna appreciate ddr3 so I think you can get cheaper than that..

EDIT: Cheapie case - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160805# , good quality aswell
PSU: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/151287#- with PSUs you really get what you pay for, this one is cheap and 80+ which is why I picked, and I think powercool make good PSUs? No? :p

I have the Aerocool M40. It has good air flow and lots of space for a cube.

Aerocool was the kind of case I was looking for, a cube that can sit on his desktop for easy access to dvd, card reader, usb and power but it is too expensive I think (+ I dont like the design). I can see where you are coming from. erhaps it would be possible to go for 775 or am2 hardware and take the lower rices and accept that an upgrade is going to be a big job (a well speced out pc will last dad a few years though)

This one has free shipping. It took 5 days for me, California to Columbus with no damages.

Has anyone heard of any other cases for micro atx that are cheap and reasonably pretty.
Post if you have any direct experience of them as well (building in them etc.)
<£90 if they include a PSU
Or <£60 if they don't include a PSU (but have space for an ATX standard one)

I have looked at the Antec NSK 1380 - includes PSU for about £80
And the Silverstone Sg02-F - no PSU for £56
Also the Aerocool M40 as mentioned above (honestly I think its a bit utilitarian in design with the LCD etc.)

Or if there are any barebones style PC (unlikely due to the budget of build, even with mother board budget for it would only be about £140)
