first a qik sorry guys! i really need to check back here more often after posting!!!! thanx heeeps for the great replys Res's are so easy and yet so rewarding a mod to make!! i really get a buzz from making them. I think that is a totally great idea!! just like Roto's idea of incorping a pump is as well. You only have to use heat to make the "twist" or "twirl" i think is would look super cool and would (with your permission) try that on my next res heres a few new models i recently cooked up. The first is called the "Sumo" its just an adaptation on the original "FatBoi" style res i made for HPRES1. Seen here. The "sumo" incorps Larger over lapping back ends for a oriental look, a custom diffused back spine was added for lighting and bracket purpose.
The smaller Res's are called "mini's" designed for placement into my recently finished H-1 Concept pc. Again the idea was just to make them more of a feature when placed inside or outside of a case. A flame was cut and placed inside one...altho i must admit it looks more like exotic reef seeweed!!!! but im trying!! Threaded hex bolts for installation were added as well as a LED hole for lighting purposes.
Those are really snazzy! I like that flame one especially. You should try the same with UV orange plexy and a UV LED Quick question in case I missed it (more than likely) - where do you get your acrylic tubes and end pieces? And the taps for that matter?
ok two things here that i thought if reading this. 1. can you make a res. with a inner smaller tube kind of like adougnut? if you couuld you could raun a strip of LEDs or cath tube threw the center of it and it would light it up. 2. the lic. plate screws they have out with the LED in them might also work for what your trying to do they are a hollow srew basicaly and the Led wires run threw the center so you can hook them up the ground would be etheir the bumper or wired to the lights on a car. But they should have the right resitor to run on 12volt system alread installed. If you could take one apart and reverse the light in there you could mount it so the light is in to the plexi. then hid it to the back and it would give you a hiddedn effect for he lighting on this and also cause it to light up for you. Thsi might be just thoughts of a mad man not real sure but those were my ideas, Im new to this whole modding thing but not to the car world LOL. and also ave used thsi type of stff on maodels to make thehead lights and tail lights flash. also one questin is it possbael to make a complet cooling system from scratch ? I see what you have done here but i am not real sure what all teh parts of the system are. I would liek to do a watercooled case on my computer that im goign to be building here as soon as the parts get here. But lvgn in Germany and not knowing the LAng. I had to order from the states and it is taking forever for them to get here. do you know of any threads that might explain the whole water cooling thing? So i dont hijack this thread with a bunch of questins. Thanks Mickey
