Well, after working 127 hours of overtime last month to save up the money, payday finally came. And ive just spent the lot on my new rig!! And what made me do it? Seeing the trailers for Half Life 2 & Doom 3!!

    P4 2.4ghz(c) @ 800fsb (Planning to o/c this to at least 3.0ghz)
    Corsair TwinX 1024 MB 4000 CAS 3
256Mb ATI Radeon 9800 Pro DVI/TV DDR Retail
    DFI Lanparty 875I Mainboard
    80Gb Maxtor ATA-133 8mb cache
Thermaltake Xaser III (Black with window)
    Thermaltake Xaser 480w PSU (Black)

Just gotta order some Artic Silver Ceramique & 2 UV cathodes to light up my mainboard!!

Damn im gonna be skint this month!!

Thanks! Gotta try and plead with work to let my have the day of to build it now!

How can u not like the Xaser III!:eeek: Ive come to the conclusion that me a dremel will never get on after nearly wrecking my Coolermaster 210 ATCS, so I thought id go for a pre-modded case instead.

Xasers look like cheap ass boys toys. The kind of thing you go "eww! WTFs that??" at in a car mag but translated into a case.

    imo. :worried:

what's the price diff between say - PC3500LL / PC3700 and PC4000? Cause cas3 4000 stuff is pretty crap and will be overclocked and rebadged PC3700 im sure.

the xaser 3 is awsome. i got the blue one with a window and love it. i want to change the window becuase its the only thing that looks like crap on it. i will probably make a bigger blowhole on the top. BTW nice rig. you sure thats CAS 3 ram?

its cas 3 because its very fast so sacrifices have to be made in the timings, but its still rather nippy ram, as ddr500 tends to be

I really wanted to go for a SATA drive, but if I did i wanted a 10,000rpm one, which is £120 for a 36gb. I couldnt justify spending that much at the time but I will be getting a couple of SATA's once they come down in price a bit.

I'mm gettin the LanParty Tooo  me=sucker for Cycadelic...
Don't forget to get a blacklight for that UV Reactive goodness :)

Does anyone know for sure if the Zalman 7000 Cu fits on the DFI LANPARTY PRO875?

    Hi Mat,

Sticking with the Thermaltake theme ive gone for the P4 Spark 7+ Xaser Edition. Ive read some pretty good reviews about the Spark 7. Also got me a Mitron UV on the way  to lite up my mobo.

    Cheers
